Fort Denhoff is the only one of the 15 defenses that protected the ancient city of Köninsberg that has survived to this day almost in its original form. The brick walls, built in 1657, preserve historical secrets and the atmosphere of bygone days.
Today there is a museum in the tunnels of the fort, which tells about the history of this military facility. The construction of such objects is always a very delicate work. It is important to preserve the atmosphere of antiquity, not to break the historical appearance, while revealing to visitors the typical environment of the place.
And lighting plays not the least role here. The ideal solution was ZEUS track lights installed on three-phase tracks of LGD series. Succinctly, but at the same time extremely functional.
The black tracks themselves, which are suspended from the vaulted ceilings using cables, echo the metal grilles, merging into the overall pattern. ZEUS luminaires have a simple black cylindrical body and do not attract unnecessary attention. At the same time, they have a variable angle of the light beam (from 20° to 60°) and rotatable housing. This allows you to customize lighting scenarios for different expositions, avoid unnecessary backlighting, preserving the mysterious twilight in the rooms.
An important factor in the choice of luminaires was the quality of lighting, as some rooms of the museum are illuminated only artificially. High color rendering index (CRI>90) of ZEUS luminaires is close to the reference solar one, in such a light environment color nuances are perceived to the fullest extent.
One of the features of the tracks is the possibility to control groups of luminaires in one track, not all of them at once. Moving luminaires along the track, gathering them in groups, it is easy to customize and change lighting scenarios.
