The exhibition “On the Edge. The Art of Glass Cutting and Engraving” exhibition, which takes place in Tsaritsyno, tells visitors about the methods of glass processing in our country in the 20th century. Among the presented exhibits one can see both works that served as samples for mass production and unique author's creations.
Glass is a material sensitive to light. Therefore, competently planned lighting can favorably show all facets of glass works of art. For illumination of showcases with exhibits it was decided to use lightboxes installed instead of the back wall. The light source in the lightboxes are RZ series ribbons, which have the highest color rendering index (CRI>95). Colors in such lighting look natural, the human eye perceives the fullest possible range of shades, which is important for exhibiting art objects.
In narrow niches and showcases, a narrow MICROLED strip with a board width of only 4 mm is used for neat and high-quality illumination. It creates an elegant line of light that delicately emphasizes the miniature objects.
When creating the lighting for the exposition, it was important to take into account that each exhibit requires a certain level of illumination, so multi-zone control was organized. VT S74 series dimmers are used for brightness control.
Since the color palette of the exhibition is in milky white tones, nothing distracts attention from the glass exhibits. The monochrome LED lighting fits perfectly into the overall concept.
To make the space dynamic, translucent arc partitions and rounded arched openings were installed. As the main source of illumination there were chosen luminaires based on the round ROUND profile, which organically combines with the smooth shapes of the room.
