Peter the Great was a bright representative of the progressive ideas of his time, so it is not surprising that the exhibition “Peter the Great. Birth of the Empire” was realized in a modern interactive format with the use of multimedia technologies.
In order to create a special historical atmosphere and maximize immersion, the key point is light. And here the choice of the organizers was on the side of Arlight equipment, which allowed to convey all the nuances, accents and impressions provided by the curators.
For the illumination of showcases with the exposition selected LED tape series RT white light color (5000 K) with a high color rendering index (CRI>95...98). Light space, close to natural daylight, allows visitors to see the exhibits in all shades and consider every detail without overworking the eyesight.
LED strips of white and blue light colors are also used in the design of the halls. Diametric illumination creates an interesting effect, helps visitors to navigate in space, drawing attention to the key elements of the exposition. Lightboxes are also illuminated with LED strips, which provides a uniform soft glow, in which the explanatory texts to the exhibits can be easily perceived.
An interactive exhibition implies active participation of visitors who can interact with the exposition. Therefore, much attention was paid to the creation of an intelligent light control system. Lighting automation was achieved by using touch monitors, SR2-Door infrared door sensors, and LN series dimmers.
Touching the monitors and opening the doors activates the change of light design, which captures the attention of visitors. With the help of Arlight dimmers in a number of halls there is a smooth increase in brightness, which responds to simple actions of visitors. Thus, each guest of the exhibition has the opportunity to creatively transform the space and see the history of Russia and the personality of Peter the Great from a new perspective.
“Smart light” at the exhibition allows to immerse visitors deeper into the created historical environment, to draw attention to significant details, to create positive impressions from the visit.
