Interior of MONK coffee house

The interior concept of MONK coffee house is a reflection of its own name. On the one hand, minimalist design, abundance of concrete elements and uniform milky-white color scheme create an ascetic atmosphere. However, visiting this place, guests feel calmness and peace, as if they were in an ancient temple.

The rounded shapes of the furniture, designed especially for the project, play a big role in achieving this relaxation effect. The absence of sharp corners gives the interior a cozy and safe feeling. The characteristic softening extends to the other materials used: the polymer flooring has a smooth surface, and the concrete benches and tables have soft textile cushions.

Due to the abundance of panoramic windows, the ceiling lighting was abandoned. Instead, track lighting was used: white magnetic tracks of the MAG ORIENT series with cylindrical luminaires are built into the walls. Track lighting is easy to control and allows for a variety of lighting scenarios. The luminaires can be moved along the track with a slight movement of the hand, making it possible to change the lighting accents in the interior. The magnetic system allows the luminaires to be quickly and easily installed in the track without special tools, so they can be easily replaced with other models to refresh the interior.

The MAG ORIENT range includes luminaires with DALI protocol control, which allows you to create a multifunctional user-friendly control system from your phone or tablet. With a light touch, you can turn on/off/ dim each luminaire individually or the entire group at once.

To keep the minimalist interior from being boring, the designers integrated original details into it. For example, a table with a concrete countertop imitating the relief of the sea bottom and covered with smooth greenish glass. This detail is a reference to the sea, near which the coffee shop is located.

The water and sea theme is continued in the design of the bathroom. Here it is played out in a very interesting way. The gray-green monochrome shade of the walls is enlivened by the glare from the relief mirror ceiling, to which the light stream from SP MONA SURFACE swivel lamps is directed. Thanks to this solution the illusion of immersion in the environment is created.
