A corridor or hallway is an integral part of most rooms. Lighting in these areas is required frequently, or even constantly, as they are passageways and often lack sufficient natural light. LED lighting is a great solution for these spaces due to its energy efficiency.
We have put together a few projects to show the possibilities of LED lighting in hallways.
One of the most common ways to implement LED lighting is to illuminate the ceiling ledge of drywall. Depending on the color of the LED strip and its brightness, it can serve as the main lighting of the corridor or decorative lighting. Such illumination is often combined with spotlights, in this case they serve as a source of main light, and LED tape - background or decorative. For decorative backlighting is often used multicolor LED strip RGB. To control multicolor LED strip are used controllers that allow you to choose thousands of different colors and shades. While the controller controls the LEDs on the strip, the controller itself is controlled by the user from a wall panel for RGB light sources. The touch-sensitive glass panels with color selection ring are responsive to touch and very easy to handle. Wireless control of LED lighting is possible with a remote control.
Another method that is gaining popularity is LED light lines. They are linear lights made of LED profile, high-power LED strip and a special screen that covers the profile and the strip. Usually, lines of light are built into ceilings or walls made of drywall. Effectively looks continuous line, passing from the ceiling to the wall, an example of such a design can be seen in one of the photos of this project.
Less common due to the greater complexity of installation, but an effective way of lighting - luminous ceiling. This uses a bright LED strip and translucent stretch ceiling or frosted plexiglass white.
Any light structures created with the help of LED tape, can be dimmed, that is, to change the brightness of luminescence from 0 to 100%. To realize this function, it is necessary to use dimmers or controllers. Dimmer/controller is also controlled by a remote control or control panel. Adjusting the brightness of the glow will help to create additional comfort. For example, in the dark time of day, you can turn on the duty mode of 5% glow fury, which will allow you to move around safely and at the same time save energy.
You can also use smart technology - motion and light sensors - which will automate the control of backlighting in passageway areas, further reducing electricity consumption.
