The layout of the Russian Post's exhibition stand was supposed to simulate a conveyor belt that is constantly in motion. To create this effect, it was decided to use LED SPI-tape with pixel control. Such tapes can reproduce different light dynamic scenarios, broadcast by a special control device - controller.
Three tapes were installed on the conveyor track, in parallel strips. The belts were mounted in a profile, which was installed on the track in a recessed way. A diffusing screen covered the strips from external influences and also provided a diffused glow that did not strike the eyes. The length of each was about 12 meters. Therefore, for stable operation of backlighting in the project was used an amplifier, which allowed you to connect all the ribbons to a single controller.
The controller, which supports SPI protocol control, was placed together with power supplies and amplifier behind the wall of the stand. Special hatches provided easy access to them. This was important because the controller supports reading individually designed glow programs from a memory card. A lighting scenario can be programmed on a computer in a specialized program and written to the controller's memory card. That is, access to the backlight control devices provided the ability to quickly change the luminescence programs without much effort.
